Experts on vacation
Even during vacation, Damien continues his research.
We're taking the opportunity to release a special "Google profile page" edition.
What is this "Profile" page?
A new Google page that aggregates several pieces of information about your site
Associated social networks
Follower stats
Latest posts
A "Follow" button...
Information straight from Google, interaction features, a more than likely way to boost your visibility - we love it!
Just over a week ago, Damien noticed a new feature on certain Google Discover profiles. The functionality isn't deployed everywhere yet, but we're digging deeper anyway.

Initially, it's a "follow" button on Discover.
This button leads to a "profile" page.
Here's the example of the Search Engine RoundTable profile:
It's this profile page that interests us, because by digging a little deeper, we can access it for many sites, Discover or not...
We find:
The media name
A "Follow on Google" button (yum)
A carousel with linked properties (X.com, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, website... there can be a crowd! Use keyboard arrows to scroll - yes it's strange)
For each social network, an estimated number of followers
The total estimated followers count
Below, cards with the latest posts.
On international brands, we easily find local properties, for example here Walmart or Decathlon:
At the very end, the website.
When the entity is linked to a Wikipedia page, a small box appears.
And below, a feed with the media's latest posts, which can be filtered by social network.
Some examples:

What do we do with this?
What immediately comes to mind is putting this profile in front of your visitors, so they "follow" your site.
Since this page is a Google page, with their habit of tracking everything, we can also legitimately think that everything visitors do on it will be tracked, for all useful purposes ;)
Another interest: verify that your different social media properties are properly present on this profile.
If not, time to update your JSON-LD to properly connect everything!
Your YouTube channel that's not associated with your site, your X.com account that got lost... all that credibility and signals that won't be properly aggregated...
Under the hood, there's more to say and some gems (and entities!) to discover with this new feature, but no need to reveal everything at once.
We can think that this profile could expand, become the equivalent of the old "publisher center" profile, and become a hub to redistribute clicks from the Discover ecosystem, to compensate for the losses from AIOs...
How to get your profile URL?
As long as it's not deployed everywhere, or your site isn't on Discover, it's complicated.
For now, we offer our 1492.Vision clients to give them their sites' profiles: Open a support ticket, list your site(s) within reason and we'll send back the profile(s) that go with them.
Not a client? A particular need? Please ask!
We continue monitoring and will probably integrate things more deeply into 1492...
And you, any ideas with this new page?

I'd love to find the profile to manofmany.com if possible please? :)
